The shutoff valve on the Phyn Plus device can be operated using several methods. The shutoff valve can even be operated manually in the event of a power outage.
Shutoff valve operation (on the Phyn App)
- Launch the Phyn app on your phone
- Tap the Menu icon in the upper left-hand corner
- Tap the toggle switch at the bottom of the page
- The shutoff valve will engage to stop water flow
- The LED display will display a “blocked” display showing water flowing on one side and a red line showing that the water is blocked from the home water system
- The Phyn App will display “Water is off”
- Tap the toggle switch at the bottom of the page again
- The shutoff valve will disengage and open to permit water flow
- The LED display will show normal water flow
- The Phyn App will display “Water is on”
Shutoff valve operation (on the Phyn Plus device, with electrical power)
- Primary method: Tap and hold the blue button 3 seconds. (Alternate method – earlier Firmware: Tap the blue button once)
- The shutoff valve will engage to stop water flow
- The LED display will display a “blocked” display showing water flowing on one side and a red line showing that the water is blocked from the home water system
- Primary method: Tap and hold the blue button 3 seconds. (Alternate method – earlier Firmware: Tap the blue button again)
- The shutoff valve will disengage and open to permit water flow
- The LED display will show normal water flow
Shutoff valve operation (on the Phyn Plus device, without electrical power)
- Locate and remove the shutoff tool from the Phyn Plus device.
- The shutoff tool works like a screwdriver to manually turn on or off the shutoff valve
- Open the rubber grey panel on the bottom of the Phyn Plus device
- Locate the slot showing a gold shutoff screw on the lower-left-hand corner
- Carefully insert the end of the shutoff tool into the slot and engage the end of the tool with the gold shutoff screw
- Turn counter-clockwise to turn on water to the home
- Turn clockwise to turn off water to the home
