No. By default, wireless routers broadcast the wireless network name (SSID) so that wireless devices can find it.If the SSID broadcast setting is changed in the router to not allow the SSID broadcast, the Phyn Plus device will not be able to connect during the Device Setup process.You must enable SSID broadcast on your router in order for the Phyn Plus device to complete the Device Setup process and connect to the Internet.

If you attempt to pair a Phyn Plus device to a network using a non-supported Wi-Fi security profile, i.e. WPA-Personal, the error message “Failed: Unsupported security type” will be displayed after entering the network password.To resolve, the customer must update their rouuter’s Wi-Fi security profile to either:WPA2 Personal (aka WPA2-PSK, PSK2, WPA2-PSK (AES only – not TKIP), WPA2-PSK/AES)WPA/WPA2 Personal (aka WPA/WPA2 Mixed mode, WPA/WPA2 PSK, WPA/WPA2 (TKIP/AES), PSK2-Mixed)
If you attempt to pair a Phyn Plus device to a network using an incorrect network password, the following error message will be displayed: “Incorrect Password Please Try again”.To resolve, enter the correct network password for your home network. You may need to contact the person who set up the Wi-Fi network to obtain this information, if you did not set up the network.Note: Customer Support cannot assist with password issues for your Wi-Fi Network.
