When changes are made to the Home Wi-Fi network, i.e. Network Password changed, Network Name (SSID) changed, Wi-Fi security Profile changed, etc. the Phyn Plus device will no longer be able to connect to the network. In the Phyn App, the device status will show "Offline". Follow these steps to reconnect your Phyn Plus to the Wi-Fi network after changes have been made to the network: Note: If you have purchased a new Wi-Fi router. Follow the steps outlined here. iPhone:
  1. Launch the Phyn App on your phone
  2. Tap Menu > Settings > Device > Phyn Plus
  3. Tap on Wi-Fi Settings > Wi-Fi Network
  4. At the Change Network screen, follow the instructions. Note: Be sure to press the blue button on your Phyn Plus device before starting the process. Pressing the blue button will put the device into "Pairing" mode to allow the device to re-pair to either your existing Wi-Fi network or your new Wi-Fi network
  5. On your iPhone tap the Home Button > Settings > Wi-Fi - The SSID of your Phyn device will appear in the list of Available Wi-Fi networks
  6. Tap Phyn.Plus.XXX - the SSID of the Phyn Plus device.
  7. When the Phyn Plus device is successfully paired, a blue check box will appear to the left of the name of the Phyn Plus SSID. "Unsecured Network" will be displayed beneath the SSID of the Phyn Plus.
  8. Tap the Home Button and then tap Phyn
  9. “View Devices on Network” will be displayed.
  10. Tap Enable
  11. "Searching for Networks" will be displayed
  12. Select Network screen - Tap the SSID of your home Wi-Fi network. (Note: If you do not see your home Wi-Fi network, tap "Refresh". If you see your Home Network SSID displayed twice - one that is grayed out and one that is darker in color, tap on the SSID that is darker in color).
  13. Enter the password for your Wi-Fi network and tap Done and then Connect (Note: Enter the network password correctly including any Capitalized letters and special characters).
  14. "Pairing your Phyn Device" will be displayed during the pairing process. Note: If you have entered an incorrect network password, the following message should be displayed: "Incorrect Password, Please Try again".
  15. "Your device was successfully connected" will appear.
  16. “Firmware Update” will be displayed
  17. “Your Wi-Fi was successfully updated” will be displayed
  18. Tap Okay.
Android:
  1. Launch the Phyn App on your phone
  2. Tap Menu > Settings > Device > Phyn Plus
  3. Tap on Wi-Fi Settings > Wi-Fi Network
  4. At the Change Network screen, follow the instructions. Note: Be sure to press the blue button on your Phyn Plus device before starting the process. Pressing the blue button will put the device into "Pairing" mode to allow the device to re-pair to either your existing Wi-Fi network or your new Wi-Fi network
  5. Tap the Home button on your Android device
  6. Slide your finger down from the top part of the screen
  7. Tap the Gear icon (Settings), in the top right-hand corner
  8. Tap Connections
  9. Tap Wi-Fi - The SSID of the Phyn Plus device will appear in the list of available Wi-Fi networks
  10. Tap Phyn.Plus.XXX - the SSID of the Phyn Plus device. "Connecting" will display briefly
  11. When the Phyn Plus device is successfully paired, the SSID will change to a blue color and the message "Internet may not be available" will appear beneath the SSID.
  12. Tap “Keep Wi-Fi Connection” if prompted
  13. Tap the Home Button and then tap Phyn from the Apps menu (Or tap Phyn from the Running Programs menu)
  14. "Searching for Networks" will be displayed
  15. Select Network screen - Tap the SSID of your home Wi-Fi network. (Note: If you do not see your home Wi-Fi network, tap "Refresh". If you see your Home Network SSID displayed twice - one that is grayed out and one that is darker in color, tap on the SSID that is darker in color).
